Dr. Alweena Zairi, PhD, B.Ed. Hons., KRFP, IPTI, DPA assoc.
Dr. Alweena Zairi and the CHILD Centre are based in West Yorkshire, England.
Alweena is an experienced kinesiologist, teacher and researcher. She has completed a PhD study in the raising children’s learning and performance in a primary school through the use of a movement programme and sound therapy.
Her initial teacher training as a PE teacher led her to specialise in the Science of Human Movement. She trained as a kinesiologist as well as a sound therapist and is an approved practitioner of Callahan Techniques Thought Field Therapy. She has also studied LEAP with Dr. Charles Krebs from Australia and Neuro–Energetic Kinesiology with Hugo Tobar from Australia. She has also studied accelerated learning techniques and works with groups of children or individual children in school and private practice. In addition, she has studied Bi-lateral Integration Techniques.
She has used Kinesiology and Sound Therapy in private practice as well as schools. She is the creator of the CHILD (Centre for Holistic Improvement in Learning and Development) and works with schools to enhance children’s learning and behaviour.
